Turmeric contains a polyphenol compound called Curcumin, and this substance is believed responsible for the biological benefits Turmeric provides. Turmeric can help reduce soreness and has antioxidant properties and may be used to reduce inflammation particularly in shoulder, knee and elbow joints.
